This is a message that Delsie Mariano sent into the site. Her email is dmariano@phs.org. I left the message just as she wrote it.

I was interested in getting in touch with someone on the Acadia 1990/1991, someone who knew Calvin R. Harrison DOB: 08/21/1968. I know he had lots of friends he served with in the Persian Gulf. I was with him and he talked often about the good times he had with his friends. I just thought maybe you could put a message on the board and let them know that he passed away on April 1, 2007. He died of unknown reasons in SLC, UT. You can post my email address, I would like to hear from someone about him or even maybe share some pictures on line. He had a cruisebook from 1990-91 but no pictures of him in it.

RM2 on the decomm crew 93 to the end. Still active, get to see the ship every day on my way to work. She's a bit of a mess up close but still standing proud. Would love to hear from any of the RM's from the last cruise. Also looking for TM2 Leslie Guidry, have some news for her.

Hi Fred,
Yes, I know she received them for the USS Stark but Encyclopedia Wikipedia has her confirmed with multible awards. Maybe it's throwing me off. But did we get both Kuwaiti Liberation Medals, (from Saudia Arabia & Kuwait)?

Just discovered this site today. Looking at some of the pics brought back memories of my last WestPac. It was one that I will never forget. I'm hoping to connect with those few close friends I had there.

Hey Jeff and Kathy! Wow! Is this cool or what! I've been dreaming of a way to talk to my old Acadia shipmates and bam! Here it is. I will definitely stay in touch and you do they same. Please let me know if you find Fred Cook or Julie Keegan. There are a host of other names but those are the current floatsum on my mind. :p
